This course is a comprehensive experience that will teach you Design Thinking principles, the toolsets and methods. The knowledge you will gather from this course adds value to leadership skills by focusing on asking the right questions when solving complex problems, and with that enabling you to become an innovation accelerator in your company.

During this extremely hands-on course you will be working on a concrete challenge. The outcome of this course can serve as a kickstarter for a real product.
By being immersed in our Innovation & Design Thinking bubble for several weeks, you will start to develop a new creative muscle, that you will be able to successfully apply when returning to your worklife.

Learning outcomes:

In detail you will learn:

  • 💡 In-depth knowledge of the importance of a user-centric approach and how to involve customers in product development.
  • 💡 Apply customer insights using different tried and true methods as Design Thinking (IDEO) and Design Sprints (Google) for innovation.
  • 💡 Understand the value of a fast-paced, iterative development process and its impact to continuously drive towards success.

Format

All our workshops encourage experience-based learning. We apply a good mixture of lectures, discussions and practical exercises to let our participants build new skills and gain new knowledge.

Assignments: You will get weekly assignments which require you to engage with your team outside of the course—hosting a brainstorm, for example.

Interactive Lectures: Our live sessions serve to give you the needed background information, introduce new methods and tools and offer the chance to dive deeper into course concepts.

Checkin: Once a week we are hosting a short live session to checkin with you, see how you are doing and providing valuable feedback to take your homework even a step further..

Coaching: In a dedicated Slack Channel for this course, you get the opportunity to share your progress, discuss ideas and get feedback from your facilitators during the week.

Originally from Switzerland, Jonas has been living and working in London the past years. With 10+ years experiences in Branding and Design, he developed and led the Innovation courses at Decoded before he founded his own company.

In the past Jonas has created and conducted workshop programs for IKEA, VISA, Daimler, IBM and ING Bank teaching Agile, Lean Startup, Human-Centered Design, Innovation and Design Sprints.

Jonas today works as a consultant in mindful and sustainable tech and always asks the question: Can we weave sustainability into innovation?
